We Kinda Ting Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization and was started in 2004 in Atlanta, Georgia by a dynamic group of individuals from various Caribbean islands and USA. Led by Band Leader Sharon Ali, the band has grown to be one of the largest and spectacular bands in Atlanta Carnival. In 2007, 2008 & 2009 the Band won 1st place Band of the Year, Queen of the Bands, Best Individual costume and various other titles such as King of the Bands. In 2006, the Band won 3rd place for Band of the Year and 3rd Place for Children’s Carnival.

We Kinda Ting's goal is to promote Caribbean culture and art forms through educational programs, community service, and visual arts performances. We Kinda Ting Inc. promotes the rich cultural heritage of the Caribbean by demonstrating the unique craft of costume making for festivals and workshops. The workshops primarily focus on working with children that might not otherwise be exposed to the culture of the Caribbean region. The group has also held several workshops at its headquarters in Atlanta on design and construction of costumes, theme and color selection, decoration and adornment.
