Contraindications:
Contraindicated in pregnancy. Cascara sagrada is purgative and may be too strong in high doses for children or for long-term use. Licorice root can have aldosterone effects but only in high doses; it should not be used in hypertension or with digitalis-like drugs. In large amounts, garlic and ginger are contraindicated with anticoagulant drugs. The combination of herbs in this formula work together in creating synergistic effects, and smaller amounts of the herbs are utilized for optimal results.
